We are delighted to be part of Infection Prevention & Control 2017 conference on 22nd Feb 2017 at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.

We will be showcasing two new patented innovations Airglove and Secure 2 Part IV cannula dressing. Airglove is a new solution for venous access and the cannula which in the study concluded less movement therefore less trauma and chance of infection to the site of a wound.

Currently 80% of patients admitted to hospital have a cannula inserted and in some cases this often involves two vascular devices per patient. Repeated cannulation is also another consideration as this can often be required especially with extended courses of treatment such as chemotherapy. Therefore it is important that a stable and secure cannula dressing surrounds the entire site insertion providing a sterile barrier to microbes and other contaminants.

With up to 35% of patients requiring heated cannulisation due to fragile or hidden veins Airglove can benefit patients by warming the patients arm for the delivery of intravenous drugs in just 3 minutes. It’s so easy to use as the nurse practitioner simply selects the chosen temperature setting per each patient and places the patients arm in the single use double walled glove and selects start. The patient will feel the glove fill up and vent away for only 3 minutes with Airglove stopping automatically. Airglove will help to make the patient feel more comfortable and relaxed with its gentle warming system.
