It was great to be part of Scottish Lifesciences Association Spring Trade Mission to Indiana last week with the Indiana Health Industry Forum along with Compliance Path, Entrust People UK, Cellexus and Cohesion Medical.

This was a great opportunity in Indiana which will be our first touch point for Green Cross Medico in the US medical market. We had the opportunity to meet and connect with so many different people from distributors, US compliance to hospital procurement and National healthcare distribution which was invaluable along with 1-2-1 meetings.

The US market for IV cannulations is estimated to have a market value of over five billion dollars with over 250 million people requiring the procedure annually which will increase year on year at 4% for the foreseeable future. With difficult vascular access affecting many people with obesity, chronic illness, IV drug abuse, vasculitis as a rule along with Emergency Departments first attempt success rate for placing IV catheters at 60% we can see how much the US Healthcare system requires Airglove. Over and above difficult vascular access with chronic illness Airglove was initially developed for patients going through extended courses of treatment such as chemotherapy as it can benefit fragile or hidden veins.

It was great to be able to demonstrate the new prototype of Airglove for the US market which has been converted to 110 volts and will be available in the last quarter of 2019. Looking forward to working with the Indiana Health Industry Forum President & CEO, Kristin Jones and the many contacts she has made for us for Airglove trials in the US.
